The Tampa Bay Clean Cities Coalition (TBCCC) participated in an Earth Day celebration at Tampa International Airport (TPA) on April 22. The event showcased numerous
sustainability efforts by a diverse group of organizations, including several major airlines, municipal and county groups, universities, local aquariums, nonprofits working to make the region cleaner and greener, and large and small local companies sharing their unique work in sustainability. Located in the Main Terminal Event Space on the transfer level, this year’s “Our Power, Our Planet” event attracted more than 300 attendees made up of the traveling public as well as airline and airport employees. Check out this video by TPA’s Communications team for a quick view of the event.

TBCCC director Alex Kolpakov, Jana Huss, and intern Kiley Barton engaged with attendees, explaining our work as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s national network of coalitions promoting the use of alternative fuels and clean transportation technologies.
