AFV Educate First Responder Training at the Florida State Fairgrounds

In late April, Tampa Bay Clean Cities Coalition (TBCCC) and Florida Transportation Systems (FTS) hosted an 8-hour training course on alternative fuels for emergency first responders at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.

AFV Educate, a global technology and training organization specializing in the development and presentation of alternative fuel vehicle training, provided a full-day curriculum focusing on propane, CNG, and electric powertrains. Participants gained valuable knowledge and skills to safely respond to incidents involving alternative fuel vehicles.

Former firefighter and current AFV trainer Chris Womack engaged with 18 attendees from Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, Plant City Fire Rescue, and the Temple Terrace Fire Department.
